Al Nasr Secures Deserved Victory Over Kalba to Reach Quarterfinals

Al Nasr claimed a well-deserved 3-2 win over Al Bataeh at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium in the second leg of the ADIB Cup first round, booking their place in the quarterfinals to face Shabab Al Ahli in a highly anticipated encounter.

The Blue Wave started strong and finished the first half leading 2-1. Kevin Agudelo opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a powerful strike, followed by Abdullah Toure doubling the lead in the 33rd minute after a quick counterattack. Daniel Bessa pulled one back for Al Bataeh in the 36th minute.

In the second half, Al Nasr continued their dominance as Abdullah Toure netted a stunning solo goal in the 54th minute, dribbling past five players to complete his first brace for the club.

Mehdi Ghayedi, making his debut, scored what seemed to be a fourth goal, but it was ruled out for offside. Al Bataeh managed a late penalty in the 99th minute to narrow the scoreline, but the match ended with a deserved win for Al Nasr and their qualification to the next round.
