Al Nasr Club launches commemorative coin in cooperation with the Central Bank to mark its 80th anniversary

Al Nasr Sports Club has announced the launch of a commemorative coin in collaboration with the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates. This initiative comes as part of the “Dean of Clubs” celebrations marking 80 years since the club’s founding, and serves as a tribute to this exceptional milestone in a journey of enduring glory, inscribed in the history of UAE sports and shining brightly in the record of Gulf and Arab sporting achievements.

The coin embodies the rich history of the club and its pioneering role as the first sports club established in the UAE. Its design carries symbols that reflect both the club’s sporting legacy and its national identity.

On this historic occasion, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Al Nasr Club, stated:
“This commemorative issue represents a milestone in the journey of our esteemed club. It reflects the deep bond between Al Nasr and the history of UAE sports, and immortalizes achievements built over eight decades of dedication and leadership. Meanwhile, Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Nasr Club, said:

The release of this commemorative coin represents the first in a series of events and activities the club plans to organize in the coming period, in celebration of this historic occasion that reaffirms the position of the “Dean of Clubs” as the first club established in the UAE and one of the most prestigious in the region.

The commemorative coin will later be made available to the public through the club’s official store, giving Al Nasr supporters the opportunity to own a timeless piece that reflects the club’s history and proud legacy.
