Rashid bin Hamdan Approves Formation of Al Nasr Club’s Honor Council
To Strengthen “Al Ameed’s” Path Toward Greater Achievements
His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Al Nasr Sports Club, has approved a resolution forming the Honor Council of Al Nasr Club, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Vice President of the Club.
This initiative aims to enhance the club’s standing, develop its administrative and sporting systems, and support its journey toward excellence and leadership within the UAE’s sports arena.
A Vision for Development and Innovation
The formation of the Honor Council comes as part of a comprehensive strategy to expand the participation of national leaders and experts who support the club’s progress. It reinforces Al Nasr’s role as a pioneering sports institution with a proud legacy spanning over eight decades, aligning with future ambitions for greater competitiveness and innovation in sports and organizational management.
Under this resolution, the Honor Council will undertake key responsibilities, including supporting the club’s long-term vision, overseeing developmental and investment initiatives, and strengthening partnerships with strategic entities across both the public and private sectors.
The Council will also focus on nurturing young talent, supporting age-group teams, and fostering an environment that empowers athletes to achieve championships and elevate the club’s — and the nation’s — name in all arenas.
A Supportive Council for Continued Progress
The decision to establish the Honor Council reflects the club’s leadership’s commitment to institutional excellence and to empowering national competencies in driving Al Nasr’s vision of becoming a model of sporting and administrative distinction.
The newly formed Honor Council brings together a distinguished group of prominent Emirati figures — loyal members and supporters of the club — with extensive expertise in management, sports, and business. The Council will serve as a cornerstone of the club’s ongoing development, guiding overall policies, enhancing engagement with the sports community and partners, and ensuring sustainable success while preserving the historic identity of “Al Ameed.”
