Arab Elite Junior Championship kicks off  at Al-Nasr Club

The first edition of Arab Elite cup Football Championship for juniors under 15 years was launched at Al-Nasr Sports Club, which is held in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council with the participation of 16 teams from 6 Arab countries including  Al-Nasr, Shabab Al-Ahli, Al-Wasl, Hatta, Al-Wahda, Dubai City fc, Empire, -Fursan Hispania from UAE. Al-Safa and HFA Tripoli from Lebanon, Al-Hussein Irbid , Amman, Kordan knights from Jordan,  ES Zarzis from Tunisia, Al-Arabi from Kuwait and Al-Markhiya from Qatar. The tournament will be held according to the rules and regulations of FIFA and the UAE Football Association, and will continue until May 7.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Nasr Football Company, Mr. Adel Muhammad Shakri, Member of the Board of Directors of Al-Nasr Football Company, Mr. Ahmed Al-Dalil, Director of Al-Nasr Football Academy, and Mr. Salem Rabie, Technical Director of Al-Nasr Football Academy, as well as Representatives of the Dubai Sports Council, the clubs participating in the tournament and a large number of fans.

Mr. Adel Shakri gave the opening speech, in which he welcomed the participating teams from inside and outside the UAE, and wished them success in the tournament.

The ceremony opened with the playing of the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, and then the teams participating in the tournament were introduced and welcomed in a beautiful festive atmosphere. The national anthems of the Arab countries participating in the great sporting event were also played.

The draw ceremony resulted in the distribution of the participating teams into 4 groups, the first included Al-Nasr, Al-Markhiya, Jordan Knights  and City FC teams, and the second included Shabab Al-Ahli, Al-Arabi club, Amman fc and Fursan Hispania, and the third included Hatta, ES Zarzis,Al Wahda and AL Safa ,the fourth included Al Wasl , Al Hussein HFA Tripoli and EFA .

The opening match saw Al Nasr lose to Dubai City FC with a score of  3-2 

The tournament is a unique experience in encouraging and developing young talents, and improving their capabilities, and an important opportunity to give players the opportunity to interact, gain experience, and compete in strong competitions, which will benefit them and develop their football skills.

The hosting of Al-Nasr Club of this tournament is a creative initiative that confirms the distinguished sports position it enjoys at the sports level, as it was and still seeks to harness its resources to support and develop sports in the UAE and brotherly Arab countries.
