Al Nasr reach the quarter-finals of Cup with a 3-0 win over Al Ain

Al Nasr qualified to the quarter-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup with a clean 3-0 win over Al Ain in the match held at Shabab Al Ahli Stadium ( Al-Aweer ) in the last round of group stage A.

Al Nasr entered into the game in an offensive way and managed to score goal in the second minute by Marcelo Cirino, who translated a header pass from Salem Saleh to a powerful shot for the first goal of Al Nasr. 

Coach Prandelli made an early substitution in the 8th minute when Saeed Suwaidan replaced Mubarak Saeed who was injured.

Al Nasr continued to dominate the game and kept the game in the middle and the defense of the Al Ain until Salem Saleh succeded to add the second goal for Al Nasr team in the 16th minute of the game.

Al Nasr team continued to dominate the match, Jassim Yaqoob nearly missed to add the 3rd goal in 28th minute when he was alone against Al Ain goalkeeper but did not succeed in scoring the goal.

The goal zone of Al Nasr until half an hour saw only one serious attack by Al Ain team but Al Nasr's defender Joan Al Omari managed to save the attack in a wonderful way.

The attempts of the Al Nasr's attack continued with Salem Salih and Mohamed Saroush's movements from the left and direct shots from Zarate and Marcelo until the referee announced the end of the first half with a 2-0 win over Al Ain.

The second half started with mutual attacks from the two teams, Al Nasr's goalkeeper managed to get away from a dangerous shot by Al Ain, but Al Nasr's attacks were more dangerous to Al Ain goal. This pressure resulted in a third goal in the 62nd minute by Salim Saleh who took advantage of Zarate's shot, Al-Qaim to find Salem.

 After third goal, coach Prandelli took the second switch in Al Nasr's midfield with the exit of Amer Mubarak and the entry of Tariq Ahmed and then a third switch, where Ibrahim entered substitutingSalim Saleh.

The result takes Al Nasr's tally to ten points, confirming their finishing position in second,
