Al Nasr lose to Baniyas

In the second round of the ADNOC Pro League, Al-Nasr suffered a defeat against their hosts Bani Yas with a score of 2-4.

Al-Nasr kicked off the match with the following lineup: Ahmed Shambih, Samir Memisevic, Hamdan Al Kamali, Ahmed Jashak, Iuri Medeiros, Manolo Gabbiadini, Abdullah Abbas, Kevin Agudelo, Glauber Lima, Abdulaziz Sanqour, and Adel Taarabt.

The match started with intensity and clear dominance from Al-Nasr, which translated into continuous offensive movements and persistent attempts to break Baniyas  defense.

Baniyas opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Tauljan Sulejmanov. However, Al-Nasr quickly responded with two goals, scored by Kevin Agudelo in the 17th minute and Yuri Medeiros in the 19th minute. Adel Youssoufou Niakaté equalized for Baniyas in the 22nd minute.

Al-Nasr continued launching attacks on Baniyas goal, but luck was not on their side. In the second half, Al-Nasr intensified their pressure on Bani Yas to score, but their players faced unfortunate moments. Coach Goran Tufegdžić made tactical substitutions, replacing Abdulaziz Sanqour and Kevin-Prince Boateng with Mayed Al-Teneiji and Abdullah Toure.

Youssoufou Niakaté  scored another goal for Baniyas in the 54th minute, and Gastón Suárez added one more in the 56th minute.

Al-Nasr players continued their attempts to score and narrow the gap, but luck was not in their favour in achieving that.
