Under the patronage of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Al Nasr Sports Club, the club will host the 37th edition of the Arab Men’s Basketball Championship from 25 September to 6 October 2025 at Rashid bin Hamdan Hall in Dubai.
The tournament will feature 16 Arab teams divided into four groups. Group A includes Al Nasr (UAE), Homs Al Fidaa (Syria), Shaab Hadramout (Yemen), and Qadisiya (Kuwait). Group B features Antonine (Lebanon), Ahli Tripoli (Libya), Manama (Bahrain), and Kuwait Club (Kuwait). Group C is led by Al Arabi (Qatar) alongside Kazma (Kuwait), Al Seeb (Oman), and Al Mina (Yemen). Group D brings together Al Hikma (Lebanon), Al Wahda (Syria), Al Bashair (Oman), and Al Rayyan (Qatar).
On this occasion, H.E Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, Chairman of Al Nasr Sports Club, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan for his patronage, affirming that this support reflects His Highness’s continued commitment to the club’s journey and his vision of enhancing Al Nasr’s role as a historic sports institution and a proud representative of UAE sports.
He added that Al Nasr takes great pride in hosting this major Arab event, assuring that the championship will be organized at the highest level to reflect the UAE’s leading position in hosting regional and international sporting events.
For his part, H.E. Abdulrazzaq Al Hashmi, Chairman of Al Nasr Sports Games Company, praised Sheikh Rashid’s patronage, stressing that all committees are working tirelessly to ensure the success of the event.
He emphasized that the Board of Directors has given special attention to the championship since Al Nasr was entrusted with its hosting, closely monitoring the work of the organizing committees, following up on progress reports, and removing any obstacles to ensure an outstanding tournament that reflects the stature of both the club and the UAE.
