Al Nasr and Al Jazira Share First-Ever Goalless Draw in Abu Dhabi

Thursday, 18 September 2025 - 10:45am

The game between Al Nasr and Al Jazira ended in a goalless draw on Saturday evening at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, in Round 3 of the ADNOC Pro League. Both teams shared the points from the encounter.

This result carries historic significance, as it marks the first-ever draw between Al Ameed and Pride of Abu Dhabi at this stadium in the professional league, after 16 previous games that always ended with a winner. It is also only the second goalless draw in the history of their encounters, following the one at Al Maktoum Stadium in March 2014.

Al Nasr came close to opening the scoring in the 25th minute through a header from Serbian Luka Milivojević, but the post denied him. Meanwhile, Gustavo Alex continued his defensive brilliance, clearing dangerous attempts from the home side before the end of the first half.

With disciplined defending and solid organization, Al Nasr managed to keep a clean sheet until the final whistle. The draw added another point to their tally, raising it to 7 points, placing them at the top of the table alongside Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahli.
